I Think I See Spuds Now
Nikon D3x, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8, 66mm, f/2.8, ISO 400, 1/200 sec
A simple picture for today: neither HDR nor infrared. This is for all my friends and co-workers in Idaho :) However, I suspect these didn’t come from Idaho – they were poised and “ready for their closeup” in the Mercado.
While I was doing just a touch of post processing work on this, my daughter came in the office and said, “I can’t even respond to that! Why would you take pictures of potatoes?” I didn’t really have an answer at the time. What I like about this is the sharp contrast and monotone color of the potatoes vs. the bright colors of the out-of-focus items at the next stand in the market. There is such a wide range of items, colors, textures and light in a open market like this and to be honest, this photo helps me remember.

Hum, from the pings I’ve received; I guess the title is not clear. So click I think we’re alone now and sing along – “I think I see spuds now…”
Or better yet, sing along with Weird Al’s version I think I’m a clone now :)
Well it was clear to me! I like this photo for the exact reasons you described above.
